How do I pay for an order?
We like to offer as many options as possible to pay for your order. We currently accept the following credit and debit cards: MasterCard, Maestro, Solo, Visa and Visa Electron. We also accept payments by PayPal.
PayPal is one of the safest, most widely accepted ways to pay for your purchases on the Internet. It lets you use funds from your PayPal account, bank account or credit card, and you can use it with confidence as your transactions are protected by PayPal’s sophisticated fraud prevention system.
All you need is a PayPal account to get started. Don’t have one yet? It’s fast and easy to set up; you can also make payments if you do not have a paypal account.
Credit and Debit card security
We take security very seriously at Shaolin Shop and have implemented some security measures for customers paying by credit or debit card. When entering your card details, you must ensure that you enter the card security number (CV2) correctly and that the billing address you entered matches the one registered against your card. If either of these details is incorrect, your card may not authorize and you will not be able to place your order.
What currencies can I use?
We display prices in GBP (£), USD ($) and Euro (€). Prices shown in USD ($) and Euro (€) and estimated costs based on recent currency conversion rates. We cannot guarantee that any charges in foreign currencies will match exactly to the ones displayed.
When will I be charged?
When you place an order, we authorise the total amount just to make sure that you have enough funds to pay for the order. This authorisation will remain on your account for up to 5 days after placing the original order. When we dispatch the goods, we process this authorisation at which point the money will be taken from your account. If an item is back ordered we will not charge for it until such time that we dispatch it. This way you only pay goods that we have sent you. Some card issuers will not cancel the original authorisation even after the card has been charged. Authorisations will always expire on their own (Up to 5 days), and Shaolin Shop has no control over this service.
Is it safe to order online?
100% yes! Shaolin Shop takes our customer security very seriously. We want you to feel safe when you’re on our web site and not have to worry about outside interference or fraud.
We use VeriSign’s industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology to secure all sensitive data in our checkout process to ensure you’re not in any danger of online fraud. All information such as your name, address information and payment details are secured and cannot be intercepted when passed between your computer and our web site.
What is ‘MasterCard® SecureCode™’ and ‘Verified by Visa’?
MasterCard® SecureCode™ is a simple and secure way to pay on our web site. A private code known only to you and your bank, your SecureCode enhances your existing MasterCard account by protecting you against unauthorized use of your card when shopping online. Every time you pay online, you will be automatically prompted to enter your own private SecureCode – just like entering a PIN at the ATM. In seconds, you gain added protection while shopping online.
Verified by Visa works in the same way as MasterCard® SecureCode™ only it’s for Visa card holders only. Verified by Visa protects your card twice when you shop online with Visa – firstly with a personal message, and secondly with your own secret password.
MasterCard® SecureCode™ and Verified by Visa are only applicable if you have registered these details with your bank. If you have not registered with your bank to use this service you can still place an order online successfully.
